It’s going to be mostly cloudy with scattered rains and thunderstorms until August 5. Well, that’s according to PAG-ASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical & Astronomical services administration). That definitely going to put a “cloud” to my training but last night, I decided to run despite the slight drizzle.
ULTRA, the name of this place is very apt. ULTRA is defined as going beyond what is usual or ordinary; excessive; extreme. The people who train here definitely push themselves to go beyond their limits, breaking personal records, and preparing themselves for future competitions or just to stay fit and healthy.
Just like last week, I felt that my body was heavy and my muscles started to ache again. Maybe it’s that all the stress just accumulates towards the end. Both my shins and the calves on my left leg started to ache… and I was just warming up.
I’ll be getting my new Nike Hydration Belt tomorrow. I don’t want to rely on water stations anymore. Hopefully, my belt doesn’t distract me. The next thing I’m getting is a Garmin. I’m still thinking whether to get the 305 or the 405.
I love my ULTRA mornings. Other than Sunday races, these are the mornings that I really look forward to. It serves as a stress reliever from the hectic schedule I have. It’s the time I get to let everything out, and after a good workout, I end up feeling refreshed and energized.
