Endurance vs. Speed

kung yon ang ginawa mo, nag-focus ka sa speed… focus ng training pa rin natin ngayon endurance.” In training, they say that you have to first build up your base before proceeding to speed and power. Coach Rio says that it’s ok if I’m slow now since I’m still doing my base training. We’ll be focusing on speed when my body is ready for it.

I had a dilemma earlier today. I was able to read several cases for my tax midterm later (Aug. 9) but I had not read for transportation and public utilities. Would I still run at ULTRA or Ateneo? By the time I finished with the things I needed to do, it was already 3pm. I had over a hundred pages to read by 6pm.

Speed Work at Moro Lorenzo

The indoor track oval measures 200m, half the size of the regular track oval at ULTRA. I’m not sure what the flooring is made of but I think it’s rubber. The only thing that I find difficult about running in Moro is that the turns are too sharp and it’s somewhat difficult to make speedy turns without straining your hips/thighs.
