With the numerous fun runs and marathons happening in the metro, there are a feworganized for a cause. Rarer still are those organized for a cause as serious as helping our brothers with disabilities in dire need of our aid.

With this, UP Manila’s College of Allied Medical Professions Student Council (CAMP-SC) and the College of Public Health Student Council (CPH-SC) brings youEmpoweRUN: The Power is in YOUR run – a benefit run organized to promote the importance of wellness for all persons, especially for those with disabilities. This run aims to raise funds for the UP-PGH Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and Tahanang Walang Hagdan, Inc.

This event is organized in partnership with Run4Change and with sponsorsConverse, Erase Placenta and Erase Solution, the Chinese General Hospital, Front Runner, R.O.X., Runner’s World, Fusion Excel International, Fitness First, and Pocari Sweat.

LET’S RUN.. LET’S CELEBRATE.. LET’S DO FUNd RACING!

1000 runners will have the privilege of enjoying a run with snacks, a finisher’s shirt, give aways and a chance to win special awards WITHOUT PAYING A REGISTRATION FEE.

More importantly, these runners will be able to HELP KIDS FROM TULOY FOUNDATION ( http://www.tuloyfoundation.org/) by simply joining this FUNd Run.

Each participant are encouraged to donate at least P100.00 which would contribute to the P100,000 target to be raised.

ONLINE SLOT RESERVATION

1. You can reserve a slot by posting on the wall of this event with the following information:

2. A number shall be assigned to you which you should present when you go to the registration site where you can pick up your race kit.

3. You may pick up your race kit and hand your donation starting November 15 at the following stores:

- A Runner’s Circle, Roxas Blvd., cor. Quirino Ave., Manila.
- R.O.X. Bonifacio High Street
- All Skechers outlet in Metro Manila

ON SITE REGISTRATION

1. Registration will be at:

- R.O.X. Bonifacio High Street
- All Skechers outlet in Metro Manila

2. Fill out a registration form.

3. Donation indicated in the form shall be handed immediately upon registration.

Summary of dates to remember:

October 24: Online slot reservation opens
November 12: Online slot reservation closes
November 15-27: On site registration, pick up of race kit
November 30: BIG DAY!!!

We shall post an update of the amount raised based on committed and actual donations received twice a week so we’d know how far are we from our target.
