Run For Change is powering “UAAP Athletics“, a team of selected UAAP Track and Field athletes. It is a men’s team composed of athletes from Far Eastern University (FEU), University of the East (UE), UST (University of Sto. Tomas), Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), and the University of the Philippines (UP). The team competed in the recently held Philippine National Games spearheaded by the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) in Panaad, Bacolod City. The team won the Championship and will be moving foward competing in other upcoming events until August 2011.

As of the latest update, the awards received by the team are as follows:

Gold Medalists:
Alzona, Bardos, Cid, Herida — 4x100m Relay
Cid — Decathlon, 400m Hurdles

Silver Medalists:
Francisco — Hammer Throw
Sta. Mina — Discus Throw
Marayag — Long Jump
Herida — 100m
Maulas — 800m, 1500m
Alzona, Bardos, Cid, Herida — 4x400m Relay

Bronze Medalists:
Delos Angeles — 110m Hurdles
Bardos — 400m
Herida — 200m
Valera — Pole Vault

From September 2011 to February 2012 the team will disband momentarily for the athletes to return to their alma mater and to compete against each other in the University Games and the UAAP Championship. From there UAAP Athletics will re-group with a new roster and prepare for the ASEAN University Games in December 2012.

After almost half a year of being out of commission, the Run For Change website is back online! We will now be able to provide you with more information than before.

Features of the new website will include:

• News, Highlights and other features from the running community
• Personal blogsites will now be hosted online.
