Spirit of the Marathon is the first ever non-fiction feature film to capture the drama and essence of the famed 26.2 mile running event. Filmed on four continents, the movie brings together a diverse cast of amateur athletes and marathon luminaries.

I’ve been meaning to watch this movie for the longest time but it took a while before I got a copy. I remeber going to the extent of writing the filmakers and asking them if it was possible to bring the film here and have a special screening in the Philippines. They had responded immediately and were quite enthusiastic; however, the main setback was that it was too expensive to bring it over and the royalties were just too high.

Nevertheless, I was able to get a hold of a copy through the internet. Try searching for it. What I have here is a short trailer which is also available at youtube.
