Would you Run for Change?
This is a personal project that is long overdue. I’ve sent out several letters to people who might be willing to sponsor the printing of the first set of race bibs we’ll be coming out.
Basically, the idea is to encourage people to wear the race bibs when they are doing their long runs or during race events. The objective is to inspire or motivate people when they see your statement.
During the Makiling Challenge, the statement at the back of the Milo Jerseys motivated me to push myself further… It said something like “KAYA MO YAN!” If more people had similar statements at the back of their singlets, shirts or tops, more people would be motivated to run faster, farther and harder.
The question is… would you wear a RUN FOR CHANGE BIB?
The idea is to release the bibs for P20 (think of it as a donation). All the proceeds would go to the RUN FOR CHANGE ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN FUND which will be dedicated to a chosen beneficiary for the year. Apart from that, you will register your bibs with this site and we’ll post your statements. At a chosen race or perhaps at a chosen location, we’ll showcase the most unique, most inspiring, most attention-grabbing or most motivating set of statements people have come out with.
SO, WOULD YOU WANT TO RUN FOR CHANGE?

Hey Eric, thanks so much for the Blog award. Its really an honor. But honestly your Blog tells a lot more than mine. About the run for change race bibs, when and where can I get the bib. Thanks.

Hi Taki! I’m still waiting for responses to my sponsorship letter to have them printed. Do you think The Fort Striders would like to have these race bibs available during your race or at least incorporated into it for the OctoberRun?
and the proceeds would go to your event beneficiary?
My objective is mainly to create awareness… think of it as a dry run?
