Deja Vu?… and Running Gear
Today, I find myself in the exact same situation last Friday. In preparation for the 18k of TikTakBo, Coach Rio did us do 10 rounds of intervals… That’s 10 rounds at the track oval where you jog on the curves and run on the straight portions. It’s a total of 4km.
Just like last week, I felt that my body was heavy and my muscles started to ache again. Maybe it’s that all the stress just accumulates towards the end. Both my shins and the calves on my left leg started to ache… and I was just warming up. Luckily, after my drills, the tightness went away. I also felt heavy again. Maybe it’s my diet. Perhaps I should change the food that I eat. More fruits and vegetables and less meat.
I’m looking forward to this Sunday. I’m just hoping it isn’t hot. I’ll be getting my new Nike Hydration Belt tomorrow. I don’t want to rely on water stations anymore. Hopefully, my belt doesn’t distract me. The next thing I’m getting is a Garmin. I’m still thinking whether to get the 305 or the 405. Jaymie aka The Bull Runner says she prefers the 305 over the 405. I’ve yet to decide. Also, I haven’t gotten my reward yet for my 3rd 100km logged run. Maybe when I reach the 400km mark, what I’ll be getting is worth 200km ![]()

Passion Runner - if you get a chance, check out my hydration system that straps to your arm like an mp3 player. I don’t like the water belts. I’ve also found camelbaks and hand grips cumbersome so I have been working on a bottle that straps to your arm. Its called the Body Bottle and it came out last year, but we’re in the midst of release v2008 soon. If you check it out, let me know what you think - the link is http://www.bodybottle.com

/hi there, if you want, I have both and can borrow you my 405 for a run. I can tell you a lot about the 305 but dislike the 405. The one big reason is the 405 goes into battery save mode and to reset or get back into using the watch you have to press the outside and keep it pressed before you can stop your workout. That is a bit of a pain though. If you want to use my 405 for a run to tst and see you are welcome, let me know and I can bring it for you to the next race or maybe to ultrak one day or you can fetch it. If I can give you advice I enjoy my 305 more and dont know what to do with my 405…. KEEP FIT
