Blisters! Argh!
The past 3 races, I’ve started to suffer from blisters. I guess it’s due to all the sweating that goes on with my new found pace and all (naks! haha!
). I mean, it really really is a bummer to get blisters. First they’re painful. Second, they take a while to heal. Third, they’re annoying, especially that skin bubble.
Apparently, blisters occur when there is too much friction on your skin. When your skin rubs too much on surface. In the case of runners, with the soles of the shoe.
Factors that contribute to blisters are loose or tight shoes or wet socks. In my case, the latter.
There are different methods to treating blisters. In extreme blister cases, you’d have to drain them but puncturing them with a sterilized needle or pin, and letting the fluid go out. If they’re small, you don’t really need to do anything.
