Another “cheat day” I’ll have to make up for.

So much talk about “cheating” has caused me to cheat once more. This time, we had an excuse. We had relatives who flew in from Chicago and so we decided to take them out for dinner. We ate at John&Yoko at Greenbelt 5. I was able to resist the temptation to gorge the Japanese All-Meat fried rice, the Wagyu beef steak, the Teriyaki Chicken (that glaze is evil), and even the California Maki (white rice?). I had eaten salmon sashimi, tofu steak, asparagus (less the bacon wrapped around it), green chicken (I have no idea why it’s called that. It ain’t even green), salad and the others I forgot. I didn’t even have any iced tea or softdrinks as a beverage. I was content with their raspberry flavored house tea. I was safe!

Or so I thought!!! After dinner, my dad suggested that we have dessert. (Oh no!) They were looking for something sweet (double oh no!!!). Hmmm… it was already 10:30pm and they were thinking about coffee or ice cream. We ended up having both. From John&Yoko, we headed to Max Brenner. As I was looking at the menu, I was already feeling guilty. There was nothing healthy. It took me about 20 mins or so to decide what to have. I finally chose the waffle that came with fruits, blueberries and toffee-caramel sauce. Shucks! They didn’t have it. With nothing left to order… we ended up having these… MUD MAX and their own version of the lava cake. Yikes!!!

Looks like I’ll be doing a long run tomorrow or hitting the cross trainer at the gym.
